The New Life Family Walkathon is a social well-being event held around April and May every year to help global neighbors suffering from diseases, hunger, water shortage, poverty, disasters, and other calamities. The WeLoveU members walk along a path with their families and neighbors, building up love and happiness. Starting in Korea, the relay walkathons were held in many countries, and the steps to participate in the love of sharing have been expanding to various places throughout the global village.
The New Life Family Walkathon aims to establish unity with precious people by taking steps in beautiful nature and to present comfort and hope with the heart of a mother to people who are experiencing difficulties in the global village.
With the Step of Love Together
To Create a Hopeful Future for Humankind and the Earth
New Life Family Walkathon
The New Life Family Walkathon has been held every year since 2002, celebrating spring when life is in full bloom. With a heart of love for family and care for neighbors, the members have taken steps equivalent to walking fourteen laps around the earth.
Experts from all walks of life, office workers, university students, housewives, and many others work together to help people suffering in various places in the global village, agreeing on the vision to “Save the World” to create a healthy earth and a hopeful future for humankind with the love of a mother. By participating in the walkathon with their families, children and teenagers experience sharing and volunteerism, nurture respect, and consideration, cultivate altruism, and learn a sense of community in the global village.
Through the New Life Family Walkathon, children who have been suffering from heart disease, rare and incurable diseases, and other kinds of diseases, have regained their health. Residents of water-stressed countries, climate refugees, natural disaster victims, underprivileged households, and many other people around the world have regained their strength to rise again through the WeLoveU’s disaster relief and recovery efforts, living expense support, water supply support, sanitary environment improvement, educational support, etc.
Diplomats in Korea from many countries such as Spain, Jordan, Iraq, Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia, Gabon, Ethiopia, Honduras, El Salvador, Bolivia, and Mexico, have also participated in the walkathon and expressed their support for the WeLoveU’s activities toward achieving the sustainable development goals [SDGs] together. Following Korea, the relay walkathons have been held in countries such as the United States, Peru, and the Philippines, and the procession of love to help families in the global village continues throughout the whole world.
